Three weeks ago we heard the heartbeat for the first time. It was a bit more exciting for Koryn than it was for me. It's really just a swishing sound, but exciting nonetheless. Today at 4:30pm local time we go to the radiologist to find out the sex of the baby. Koryn has been convinced for quite some time that the baby is a girl -- until this morning.
Koryn said she had a dream last night that the baby was a boy. Now, all of a sudden, she is 50-50 on baby being a girl. My hopes, of course, are for a boy - so he can protect his future baby sister, but we will find out today. Of course, I say, we never find out for sure until baby is born.

I didn't know you guys heard the heartbeat already - That is very exciting. You'll have to let us know if the baby is a boy or girl before you post it on the web because grandparents have the "first right of knowing gender" - It's an unwritten rule that you may not be aware of :) Koryn - you remind me of Jaq when she started to "show." I would get comments like, "If that's showing, she must have been concave." I have a feeling you'll be getting similar comments, but I can tell you're showing! I love you guys and dad and I are praying for you and the new baby. Mom R
Looking cute! I was that big at 10 or 11 weeks, so I think you look great. you'll pop soon and have a nice little bump. Love ya!
I agree with Mom R that's it's an unwritten rule that grandparents have the "first right of knowing gender". I've been busy buying Koryn cute maternity tops, however she probably won't really need them for some time - definitely not like her mom! Now we'll be able to start buying little guy things. I'm so glad I'm able to be here for Koryn. It's pretty incredible for us to see her having a baby because she was such a miracle baby. Now my baby is having a baby - pretty incredible. Mom S
Buddy - You got the quote wrong. It's actually, "Dads always think they're right...and moms let them think so." ha ha
Those ultrasound pix are really something to see. It's so obvious it's a living, breathing baby..and a boy.
Dad and I are so excited. I'm already watching the Allegiant prices. We love you, all 3 of you! Mom R
Koryn & Buddy this is so awesome. Jen and I will be praying for you.
Jen's best friend in college had a baby in June. Jen doesn't have class on Tues. or Thurs. so she helps out watching the baby. They are truly a wonderful gift from God. Hope to talk with you while were in Las Vegas for the Miss America pageant. Kary McCafferty
